Description
EDFM’s Buffer pedal is a small packaged single stage buffer that is designed for one thing, buffering your instruments signal. There is no boost or equalization filtering circuits in our design that will alter your instruments tone, it just isolates the high impedance signal and makes it a unity level signal. Simply put, it preserves the strength of the signal running through your setup.
The best placement of a buffer pedal is with a bit of experimentation. A general guideline should be between the instrument and the first pedal and no further down the signal chain then the last overdrive pedal. Fuzz pedals and some distortion pedals generally don’t sound very good after a buffer and therefore should be placed before the buffer. The true correct position of the buffer in your signal path is of course decided by you and your ears. With all the different guidelines and information on the world wide web about buffer placements the bottom line is what sounds best to you, so don’t be afraid to experiment with the placement.
